Can hide the extender in a cupboard with only the receiver visible. Works well.
An LED on the receiver shows when a signal is being received.

I purchased a classy cabinet from Dank' furnatures; I had to pay an extra £80 for an infrared sensor which did not work. They gave me a refund, but I felt annoyed that I had purchased this cabinate, and now had to operate my Sky box and DVD recorder with the draw open.
I done a search on Amazon, and ordered the above unit; it worked great, I am running my Denon Hi Fi, DVD recorder and the sky box with no problems.
Comments have been made that it does not work on the Sky box, well is does, but the infrared sensor is, I admit hard to find on the sky box, the sensor is found approx' 15 mm on the left of the circle indicator, located at the centre of the Sky box.
The unit was run using the mains adapter, but after a while, seemed slow to respond, then finally stopped working.
I purchased a USB, disconnected the mains input and inserted the USB in to rear of the Sky box, the remaining end in to the input on the infrared grey box, it burst in to life; I found the response was far better.
I contacted the seller, who were very apologetic, and immediately agreed to send another unit out to me free of charge.
I highly recommend this infrared extender sensor and the back up service which goes with it.
