It's the classic problem. You get your iPhone home keen to use it's great music functionality only to discover the you're stuck with the awful Apple earbuds. The Headphone jack is recessed into the body so that the vast majority of aftermarket headphones will not fit. The iPhone headphone adaptor allows you to connect third party headphones to your iPhone. All standard Apple headphones will fit your iPhone but if you wish to replace them with another make the recessed 3.5mm jack means that not all headphones will fit - this adaptor allows any headphones to fit your iPhone perfectly! NB: This product has no microphone so cannot be used as a handsfree kit.

Much better than other earphone adaptors I have tried which have fallen apart within days of purchase. Sturdy and reliable. Good sound quality. Couldn't ask for more.

I bought this so i could plug headphones into my iphone 4 because my hard case's jack plug hole was too small.
this adapter Looks and feels even more high quality than sony or philips products, and doesnt effect the sound at all.
However the adaptor itself sticks out 3.7cm of the device (adaptor is 5cm long, but the jack is inside the device), so when you have headphones pluged into the adaptor its like having a walkie talky with a massive arial.

This product is abosultly brilliant. It is sturdy and small, and works perfectly. After reading a few reveiws about different products of the same nature this one had the best reveiws and im glad that i followed other buyers' advice. I have now bought a second one to keep in the car so i can attach my iphone to the cars sterio system. My only problem is that Apple are still making their phones with stupid headphone jacks, but thank goodness we have products like this to counteract their stupidity. :)

Useful... but wired backwards!!!
All this device needs to do is connect one set of contacts to another set of contacts. Simple, right? And yet somehow they've screwed it up by swapping the left and right channels! Read more

Good, but found out my problem was the ipod...

Great for iPhone 4 with bumper
I bought this to use with my iPhone 4 as headphone jacks would not fit when I used the bumper case. This jack fits perfectly to allow headphones to be plugged in.

Doesn't fit properly
The mouth of the adapter that goes into the iphone still has trouble getting and staying in. I don't know if it is because I still use ther first generation iphone. Read more

Does not fit iPhone 3G
I agree with the earlier one-star review - this adapter DOES NOT fit into the recessed headphone jack of the iPhone 3G. It does fit all ipods - but so do standard 3. Read more
