The Exspect Time Speaker Dock is, sleek, stylish and different. Use the Time Dock to play tunes whilst charging your iPhone/iPod. You can also adjust all the settings whilst playing music using the remote control provided which free's up the screen to continually display the time in analogue format.

In my opinion, after searching around for an alarm clock that can play music from my iPhone, I think I made the right choice in buying this.
It's neat and tidy (roughly 8"x8"x1") with a retractable stand, but has clear numerals. As you can see in the picture, the 12 and analog hands are actually on the iPod/iPhone but if you remove it there is a digital display underneath. It syncs the time from your device so it's always accurate (well, as accurate as your device time is) and has three dimmer settings.
The application that comes with the item is for the clock face and radio station memory manager, it's free and if you choose, can be used without being docked.
The sound from the base is OK. It isn't a surround system so don't expect a perfect, crisp sound at high volumes but it's perfectly reasonable for low/mid level music playing.
The control is basic, but controls everything you need it to, from the track playing to the dimmer settings, and it has a snooze button to assist with when you just "need" that extra few minutes in bed.
And for the times when you need the sharp drone of a "buzzer" alarm, you can set this to do it.
All in all, a great product, well worth buying. The only reason I haven't given a 5 star rating is because I'm a minimalist and would have loved if it were wall mountable. But still, it's minute size makes up for this.

This is a nicely constructed item, solid, and of a decent quality. Its around 8" square x 1" thick, and has a pop-out stand on the back.
This is compatible with iphones, and the 2nd generation ipod touch ipods, and it keeps them charged for you too!
There's a FREE downloadable app, which you need to add to your iphone or ipod touch to enable you to view view your device as part of the clockface,and giving you the functionality of the alarm, etc for this clock.
It doubles up as an f.m. clock radio too, so you can wake up to your ipod, or an f.m. station of your choice, with the f.m. antenna being a thin black wire sticking out the back.
Sound quality, to my ears it more than satisfactory, and the overall use of this item, is straight-forward, and unfussy.
It comes obviously with the power adaptor, and also a decent remote control handset.
It puts a slightly different, quirky twist on an ipod dock, and it's certainly a different kind of alarm clock, but it's certainly I gadget I would highly recommend!

What a brilliant product! Bought for me as a present, I can use this as a docking station to charge my iphone, as a speaker to play my music (sound quality is really good), and as a radio alarm clock . It's really portable and light too, so I can take it with me on work travels when staying in hotels and on holiday. It's also got a remote control which is handy. Really good quality.

Bad Product
Would not recommend this item, lightweight and cheaply made also a high pitch noise would come on whilst it was plugged in and so it constantly needed unplugging.

This is great if you just want an Iphone dock but as an alarm clock it sucks. None of the alarm functions on the app work and there is no way of setting these on the unit itself. Read more

exspect ex296 time speaker dock
