5.0 out of 5 stars Works as it should with Nexus 5 24 Feb 2014
By D. Roe
Colour Name:Dual USB|Verified Purchase
Bought originally for overnight charging but works that well bought a second for office so phone always fully charged.
Very dim blue LED shows when charging so OK at night.
Not too fussy over where phone is placed.
Two extra USB sockets so can charge other devices off this device. Used to charge other android phones, tablets, iPads, iPhones without any problems.
Can recommend highly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for bedside, office, wherever 10 April 2014
Colour Name:Dual USB|Verified Purchase
Obviously the thing works, not as fast as AC charging but you sacrifice a small amount with all wireless chargers. The blue indicator light is quite dim so fine for bedside use. I am particularly satisfied with the aesthetics of the thing, it looks really good.

My Nexus 5 with a thick case on hooks up no problem, the centre of the phone does need to line up with the centre of the pad. There's a bit of leeway but you can't just drop it on there - maybe without the case you can be more slapdash I didn't check.

The extra usb ports on the device are useful too. The pad doesn't come with a plug, just a USB cable, so bear that in mind depending where you want to use it. I have ended up using this on the office desk plugged into the PC, it's super convenient as you can just grab & go and the phone's USB port takes less of a daily battering. I've ordered another for the bedside too.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good idea but didn't really work for me! 7 Aug 2014
By Finn94
Colour Name:Dual USB
I recently bought a Nexus 4 and thought I would invest in a wireless charger as my device supported it. I was struck by this product in particular because not only did it have a lot of positive reviews, it had dual USB output to charge other devices. Essentially I purchased this product to eliminate the mess of chargers by my bedside table!

Pros:

Wireless charging is pretty cool! Simply connect the Micro USB cable into the back of the charger and that's it! It does charge, however, slightly slower than it would if it were just wired! But it's pretty cool to just put your phone down and see it charge. The blue LED on the front flashes once the wireless charging starts.

Its pretty small and neat, about the exact dimensions of an Apple TV.

Cons:

I found it difficult to establish a connection with my phone, I found that my device had to be at a diagonal and half way down in order to consistently charge. The time took to start the device charging is often much longer than simply plugging it in!

One time I was very alarmed to find my phone scorching hot and showing a depletion of battery whilst it had been on the wireless charger overnight! (the blue LED was flashing so the phone should of been charging)

The blue LED is very bright, rendering this product not very useful as a bedside device. In the end I had to put a small piece of electrical tape over the LED as it was partly lighting up my room at night!

Dual USB output can't really be used when wireless charging. I decided to test this product by charging my Nexus 4 via the wireless and my Nexus 7 via wired from one of the dual outputs at the same time overnight. Long story short, neither device had charged fully in nearly 10 hours.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Well - Recommended 11 Jun 2014

This charger works well with my Galaxy S5 with third party Qi adapter. I have had problems getting my Qi adapter to charge properly with other Qi chargers, but the Expower Qi charger works very will, and it is easy to locate the phone in the correct position for a good contact. What is really useful with the Expower charger are the USB power pass-through ports, which allows you to charge other devices from the same mains adapter, without having to disconnect the Expower charger. The unit is also very weighty and feels robust, and stays in position where you place it. Highly recommended compare to many inferior models.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great wireless charger for a reasonable price 11 Jun 2014
Colour Name:Dual USB|Verified Purchase
I have been using this charger with Google Nexus 5 for three weeks, and I am very satisfied with the performance and the quality of it. I find the charger especially convenient on any phone that uses a micro USB port which is pretty fragile by design. Not having to constantly plug in or out will prolong your phone's life cycle.

I get a full charge fast enough. The indicator led is a nice feature to have - it isn't too bright for night use either. I can't comment on the performance of the extra two USB ports since I never use them.

The charger is large enough to hold almost any phone or tablet yet compact enough not to hog too much space on my desk. It feels sturdy, and it stays in place nicely with the rubber feet.

All in all, it's a good product that does what it says. I couldn't ask for more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Qi Charger... 20 Aug 2014
By JP
Colour Name:Dual USB
Qi charging has been around for a while and more and more devices are starting to adapt it into their successive models. When I bought the Google Nexus 7 (2012), it did not feature Qi charging, but the 2013 model did. What makes Qi charging so awesome for devices that support it is it allows you to get to your device quickly without unplugging cables and lets you charge your device without hunting for the charging cable.

Setup with the Expower QI wireless charger took a matter of seconds. Connect the included USB cable to my computer or use an optional USB wall adapter like the one that came with my tablet. All I needed to do. The unit has a very faint blue light on the front to let me know everything is ready to go. I placed my tablet on the square charger and after a couple second delay it started charging. The unit features two USB ports on the side for extra charging via USB, however make sure the source you have the unit plugged into can handle the capacity (i.e. two smart phones need at least a 2A wall charger).

Overall, I'm quite pleased with the Expower QI wireless charger. Performs as expected, setup was a breeze and it has simplified my charging process for the better.
