On the evening of December 11, 1964, Che was decked out in a long trench coat, his trademark beret with the red star cocked at a jaunty angle as he strode toward the United Nations to address the General Assembly. Read the first page

Firstly, I came across Humberto Fontova through a talk he had given on this very subject. I found it illuminating. He spoke from real experience of Cuba under Castro and Guevara and hasn't just written this book from a comfortable academic and adoring leftist distance like many books written about Guevara. So, when I visited Amazon to purchase this book I was amazed at the reviews of 1 star until I realised that the writers must be leftists deliberately trying to turn people away from this wonderful little book exposing Guevara as the psychopathic killer he really was. They don't want the truth to get out because they have manufactured a myth that many young and sadly older people still buy into. Many people were killed by Guevara and Castro just for opposing communism and it's documented that 76,000; over the past 40 years have died at sea trying to escape Cuba's communist hell. Of course many don't want the truth about Che and Castro's Cuba to come out. As a result many are ignorant and walk around wearing the tee shirt emblazoned with the image of a cold blooded killer. If you really want to know who Guevara was read this book. If you want to continue to believe the myth and wear the tee shirt, don't.

This is a poorly written book, and one that fails in any genuine way to engage with its (supposed) subject matter. Rather than constituting a real study and examination of Che Guevara, the author offers nothing of substance or insight. No actual evidence is provided to support the conjectures - rather, wild musings, absurd accusations, and flights of fantasy - raised in this weak text. It is, as such, little more than a series of subjective claims - presented to discredit and ridicule the life and thought of Guevara, as well as those who support and defend his work.

One may or may not agree with Guevara's work, thought, or supporters - but the subject is important enough to warrant a thorough and objective analysis. This book fails in every way to offer this. Indeed, it makes sense only to read this book if your mind is closed to genuine critical examination. If one adheres only to the dominant ideology of our time - subscribing to the view that everything associated with contemporary Cuba, and the Cuban Revolution (including the role played by Guevara), is "evil" and should be rejected out of hand - then this book will support your fallacy.

Any open minded reader, eager to learn from sustained examination and exploration of evidence, best leave this book unread. Overall, this book is a waste of time and paper!

Dear oh dear oh dear. This rubbish ought to be pulped. It is absolutely dire.

It wouldn't have been so bad if it had been written coherently but it is just another cliche ridden piece of maniacal nonsense from someone on the rabid right. No research, no evidence: just bald assertions with no FACTS. Right wingers should have learned by now that their rants can only be taken seriously if they are based on reality and not feelings, hunches and downright lies. So he doesn't like Che or left wingers generally. Fair enough but he must just learn to live with it. Simply making up garbage and spewing it out in hate filled sentences is not a substitute for proper evidence based research.

Please do not buy this drivel but if you see the author give him a hug. He didn't get any from his mommy...

Zero stars.

When entering the site you have an average of 2 stars based on 5 reviews. But if you go a little further, you may see that there are much more reviews (118) and that the average is 3 1/2 stars. Manipulation or just Che way of honesty?
