Product Description

Review

'This is an insightful and multilayered volume which provides a clear and concise introduction to world Englishes approaches to both research and pedagogy.' - Kingsley Bolton, City University of Hong Kong

'This book is an excellent introduction to World Englishes. What distinguishes it from most introductory textbooks in this field is its applied approach... This secures Exploring World Englishes a unique position in the selection of textbooks available in the World Englishes discipline.' - LINGUIST List

'Philip Seargeant’s book deserves a mention in the reading list for any postgraduate sociolinguistic course dealing with the effects of globalisation. For more specific courses on world Englishes it provides an approachable and well-informed core text.' - Philip Riley, JELF
