Format: Paperback
Exploring the Edge Realms of Consciousness is a book that you can dip into and out of as your mood takes you. It is a collection of essays that serves to stretch the imagination of the reader into considering realities far outside of themselves and in this regard it works well.

Some of the language is, by necessity, a little challenging and technical and so a grounding in all areas of metaphysics is of great benefit when absorbing its wisdom. Nevertheless, it does contain reference to some areas of mind consciousness that are not generally covered in other publications of this type.

A good introductory guide into a world that surrounds us all but with which we generally have little conscious awareness and very little personal contact. It frightens and excites at the same time - a strange mixture of emotions that leaves the reader wanting to actively engage in the many challenging processes of consciousness shifting on offer. See you on the other side!

A book full of well argued and researched ideas. I really enjoyed the fact that having so many different points of view by different authors meant its an easier read, well for me! I could pick it up read a chapter and go back at a later date. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and its led me to buying some of the authors other referenced work.

Where signal meets noise and chaos entangles order 18 Sept. 2012
By Mat Walker - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
With this book we see the borders of science and spirit blur as psychological and psychic fuse together. Or as Pinchbeck puts it "the furthest periphery of what is known and understood, where signal meets noise and chaos entangles order." It is indeed an absorbing and fascinating read. Collected, Edited, and Introduced by Daniel Pinchbeck; this book is a Renaissance of compelling writers delving into some of the most intriguing topics. Each chapter is written by a different author and those chapters are further divided into seven parts in the book which include: Of Mind and Molecules, Adventures Into the Psyche, Science of the Psyche, Visions in Night and Darkness, Synchromysticism, Shamanic Operations, and Thought At The Periphery. Each author crafts a compelling chapter, whether it's Alberto Villoldo's shamanic perspectives of mankind's evolution into "Homo Luminious" or Russel Targ's article about the CIA experiments into psychic research, the book is hard to put down, however, the best thing about this is that it can be read at your own pace, with each chapter being a unique perspective, sort of like a Reader's Digest for the "Astral-naut". One must give this stellar collection of authors credit for their excellent writing style and compelling insights, which are bound to persuade perhaps even the strongest skeptic to think "outside of the box". I have yet to read a book by "Evolver Editions" that hasn't been extraordinary.

On the Right Track, but Not Enough 26 Nov. 2012
By VanPatten Roux - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This book is full of plenty of articles which hem and hedge, afraid to actually step out on a ledge and say something worthwhile. It seems like most of the authors are afraid to offend the current Western scientific paradigm, and so present their ideas with qualifiers that feel like "This is probably all my imagination, but... etc. etc." I'm completely tired of people that don't get it, and the contributing authors seem to be writing to those people as their audience. I want authors that write to an audience that knows what they're talking about, not people that think psychedelic or out of body experiences are probably products of the subconscious.

Fascinating articles. Strangely congruent ideas from diverse authors. 24 Oct. 2012

I've been recommending this to anyone interested in altered states of consciousness and spiritual research. You'll find many concise articles, covering myriad topics, that are fascinating; full of current research data, that paints a picture very different from the mainstream sciences which tend to promote a worldview out of sync with universal human experience. For clarification: one of the articles is mine (Journey Through a Cosmic Portal: a Serpent Ladder,) and I'm delighted to be included. The articles cover topics that really do push the edges of human understanding. Try it, I think you'll like it.

Beyond our limits 24 Sept. 2012
By Zachary Kopp - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Compiled and edited by Daniel Pinchbeck (whose mother, Joyce Johnson wrote of her affair with Beat King Jack Kerouac in her memoir Door Wide Open, though that's neither here nor there) and Evolver co-founder Ken Jordan, Edge Realms is a compilation of writing from notable thinkers like remote viewer Russel Targ, lucid dreamer Paul Levy, synchromystic magician Tony Vigorito, virtual realist Diana Reed Slattery, and many distinguished others delving into countless intriguing topics, all having in common the evolution of human consciousness into and beyond its own apparent limits.

Rated 5! 28 Nov. 2012
By Bobby - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Everyone should read this book. The author, Gavin De Becker is an expert of psychic science. I felt it reading this book.
The author teaches us how to be aware of our feelings and follow them properly. The way he wrote it reminds me "a crossing or the drop's history" by Anatoliy Obraztsov. Because it's interesting and easy to read as well.
The author has done an amazing job. I highly recommend this fascinating book!
