Well, I bought this book because I'm mentioned in John Barrow's contribution, but I've found it very very interesting - like for instance the discussion of ``acids'' and ``bases'' from the old Arrhenius characterization down to the Lewis' 1915 definition and onwards.
And - I now thing I know a bit more about what explanations are, and what they are for...
