Try another brand?

I bought one of these for my shiny new d7100. Even before it arrived, I got a message pressuring for a review, which is somewhat irksome. However, be careful what you wish for...
Taking it out of the pack, it seemed very like a run of the mill protector, it's unclear why it's relatively expensive. I did the usual routine- ran the Dyson around the bathroom to get rid of stray dust (yay HEPA filter), and then ran the shower for a bit so it was mildly steamed up. Cleaned the screen, and then attempted to apply the protector as per the instructions.
Possibly the worst and most annoying screen protector experience to date. Even the hyper cheap and nasty one that I fitted to an HTC Hero years ago was less annoying than this. "Bubbles" doesn't even begin to cover it. I persisted, as per the instructions for a while, until it got too annoying. Seriously, if the package hadn't been sealed, I would have suspected that someone was trolling me with a hilarious joke screen protector designed to be bubble up and irritate.
So I tried to contact the company, to see how their much-trumpeted guarantee and service stood up in reality.
The answer? Not so hot. They expressed their "shock" that I didn't have a good experience. They claimed they'd replace the protector for me. Needless to say, the replacement never arrived.
Meanwhile, I bought a cheaper alternative, which was vastly easier to apply, and didn't come with any review nagging. I'm sure that these protectors work for some people, but they're certainly nothing special or magical as claimed, so manage your expectations.
