Book Description

Imagine how you would feel if you could find an Australian adventure just for you?

Well now you can and they are all in the pages of this special ebook guide.

But be warned,
Some are mild and easy, others are downright dangerous, as you will discover.

Australian travel expert and adventurer Graeme Lanham says: "This guide is the result of interviews with many visitors, male and female, They have selected those that are easy and fun, but sometimes challenging, to terrifying experiences, only the brave or foolhardy dare try."

Here is a taste of the adventures you will discover in this comprehensive Aussie Adventure guide.

• Climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge.
You're attached to a rope so you won't fall and the views of Sydney Harbour, city skyline, Opera House and vistas to the Pacific Ocean, are some of the best in Australia. I've done it twice -- during the day and at night and I loved it!

• Swimming with whale sharks.
If you're a nature lover, this one is for you. Imagine swimming so close to these gentle giants, you could almost touch them.

• Jet boating on the Horizontal Waterfalls.

This adventure is in the Kimberley district of Western Australia where the tides are huge. Your adventure is in a powerful jet boat that speeds up and down a waterfall.
Full details in the guide.

• White water rafting on the Tully River North Queensland.

Imagine speeding down a raging torrent in a flimsy rubber raft? It's safe if you hang on and obey the commands of the raft captain. Women in particular love this true adventure. A bonus is the water is warm if you fall in. For safety, you are wearing a life raft.

• Bungy jumping, North Queensland.

The screams of terror from the jumpers was enough for me. I didn't try it but those who did loved it. Not for the faint hearted.

• Climbing a giant tree in the forests of Australia's South West.

It's difficult, challenging and can be dangerous, but the view from the top is amazing. Trouble is when you get to the top, you have to climb down again! I was following one girl in her twenties who said. "I can't go on, I've just wet myself" Think carefully, before you try this one, particularly if it's raining and the steel ladder is wet.

• There is a deep gorge in Western Australia, where you have no protection climbing up or down. The views are amazing and you can swim in crystal clear water at the bottom, but don't try this unless you are reasonably fit . This is wild, untamed outback gorge country and there are no hand rails. If you lose your footing you could be hurt or killed. In June 2015, a 19 YO man plunged to his death and a woman in her 20s injured her head and leg in a fall.
The decision is yours, but be warned.
Suggestion: just enjoy the spectacular views from the top.

The guide has been well received by adventurers. British backpacker Margaret Bligh says: " One Aussie adventure i wanted to try was climbing a huge tree in the forests of South West Australia. I attempted to climb it but was so gripped with fear, I wet my pants and had to turn back".

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommend this book for any adventurer! 28 Feb. 2012

My boyfriend and I are going backpacking in September. He's very much into thrill seeking stuff and I'm very much into wilderness and nature so we are hoping to have the time of our lives! Friends that have travelled to Australia all seem to give us similar advice and that was to be a bit prepared as the place is so vast and there's so much potentially to do. This book is an account of backpacker's adventures and now we have read it we are even more excited to be going! Hair raising stuff, sounds like it's going to be everything we dreamed and more. Great writing style. Highly recommend this book for any adventurer!
