The author does an excellent job of taking the reader on a visual as well as exciting ride through his real life adventures.
As others have said.....it is quite a page turner and I found myself holding my breath at times in anticipation of what may happen.
I think it would make for a great movie!!
I found it absolutely gripping, an “Indiana Jones” type dangerous search into true wild hidden treasures and mysteries buried in the unmapped Amazon jungle and dark regions dominated by the legendary headhunters few have ever seen. This book is one wild ride! You’ll never forget it…particularly because it’s true and not fiction. Lee’s experiences are probably where Hollywood writers got the idea of “Indiana Jones”…not kidding here..you’ll see what I mean. Also this is the book for you if you have ever pursued reading about real “expeditions” into dangerous mysteries, unmapped jungle regions, in search of archeological treasures or jeweled precious-metal idols and statues of a long lost civilization, etc. You’ll really love it if you’ve actually participated in dangerous expeditions of various kinds yourself! But if not, well, this is the next best thing for years to come…wow is all I can say…didn’t expect to want to say “wow”..but I’m sayin it..
