This is a real adventure of a book! I read it a couple of years ago and loved it so much that I plan to re-read it. If you love explorer-adventures, then this real-life saga will truly enthrall you. Thank you, Lee, for your *amazing* story...I only wish that I had it in me to go on a quest for ancient treasures and shamanic enlightening in the jungles of South America like you!!

HASH(0x934b22d0) out of 5 stars HELL OF A READ!!! 4 Dec. 2013
By lizgrover - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This story is amazing. It was better than Indiana Jones because this guy is real. I got so many visuals from this book, it was like I was in the story. A true sign of greatness is that I could barely put the book down--I never do that with books. When I couldn't read it, I was always left wondering in the back of my mind about what would happen next. Hell of a read.

HASH(0x934b2324) out of 5 stars Best book in a very long time! 27 Nov. 2013
By Devra Jacobs - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Just finished reading Lee's new book, 'Expeditions', which simply overflows with non-stop adventure wrapped in breath-taking moments. It is so excellently written - especially with the important details of emotion - that it seems to pull the reader right in to the adventure and 'YOU' are there! A couple of times I actually had to remind myself not to hold my breath as that it was okay to exhale. However I think that it could truly be said that "Expedition" takes you on wonderful adventure where the reader experiences the danger that was as close as one breath, lurking all around. My enthusiastic good wishes and congratulations! I highly recommend this to everyone.

I really enjoyed this book!
The author does an excellent job of taking the reader on a visual as well as exciting ride through his real life adventures.
As others have said.....it is quite a page turner and I found myself holding my breath at times in anticipation of what may happen.
I think it would make for a great movie!!

Expedition: Gold, Shamans and Fire is a terrific book for anyone who enjoys reading about real life adventures. There were times when I was so wrapped up in the story, I couldn't wait to see what happened next. So, if this is the type of book you enjoy, I recommend it highly.

HASH(0x934b2ad4) out of 5 stars Wow..more than I expected...what a ride.. 24 Dec. 2013
By THOM WELCH - Published on Amazon.com

I’ve always liked murder mysteries, thrillers that have you on the edge of your seat as they try to put the pieces to a puzzle together, and hair-raising dangers along the way…this book by Lee Elders has all these elements and kept me turning the pages, excited to see what new discovery or danger was coming next in trying to sort out the mysteries..and the real treasures…like other readers have commented, you can’t put it down, and if you have to work or run an errand (or stop and sleep)…it stays on your mind until you get back to it.

I found it absolutely gripping, an “Indiana Jones” type dangerous search into true wild hidden treasures and mysteries buried in the unmapped Amazon jungle and dark regions dominated by the legendary headhunters few have ever seen. This book is one wild ride! You’ll never forget it…particularly because it’s true and not fiction. Lee’s experiences are probably where Hollywood writers got the idea of “Indiana Jones”…not kidding here..you’ll see what I mean. Also this is the book for you if you have ever pursued reading about real “expeditions” into dangerous mysteries, unmapped jungle regions, in search of archeological treasures or jeweled precious-metal idols and statues of a long lost civilization, etc. You’ll really love it if you’ve actually participated in dangerous expeditions of various kinds yourself! But if not, well, this is the next best thing for years to come…wow is all I can say…didn’t expect to want to say “wow”..but I’m sayin it..
