Ellie, a petite platinum blond, mistakenly enters her boss's office suite on her cleaning rounds. Dio, her sexy Greek boss, thinks she's spying on his plans for a huge corporate takeover. To ensure that she doesn't reveal those plans he whisks her away to Greece with him, where he is headed to attend his father's funeral. There Ellie meets the gorgeous Helena, who has always expected to marry Dio by family arrangement. Dio and Ellie intrigue each other, though, and have a passionate interlude. When Dio finds out that his business plans have been compromised he accuses Ellie and sends her packing, as a lover and an employee. Ellie's innocence is soon revealed and Dio rehires her while trying to convince her to become his mistress. Ellie says no to intimacy but yes to the job. She then realizes that she's pregnant and in love and accepts a marriage proposal from Dio. Helena appears and offers to pay her to have an abortion, thinking Dio will come back to her if there's no baby involved. Ellie angrily rushes to let Dio know how malicious Helena is, only to find that Helena has gotten to him first and told him awful lies about her, which is just the first attempt to separate them. Dio chooses to believe Helena, and won't allow Ellie to say anything bad about her. Ellie ends the engagement and quits her job, only to have the other plans she had for her life fall through. Rudderless, she ends up marrying Dio. A sordid tabloid piece about them that reveals ugly secrets and Dio's rock solid faith in Helena rather than Ellie both strain the marriage. Ellie decides enough is enough and walks out. Will Dio find out the truth about Helena and learn to trust Ellie? Can Ellie forgive him and come back? Did Dio marry out of love or duty? What secrets fueling Ellie's behavior did she keep from Dio? Some of the answers are as surprisingly complicated as real life.
