Product Description

Album Description

• This, the second part of Exotica’s Beatles trilogy, features many more classic Beatles songs interpreted in eccentric, but truly endearing ways.

• Including; Arthur Mullard’s cockney take on ‘Yesterday’, a nursery rhyme version of ‘I Am The Walrus’, Frank Sidebottom’s ‘Flying’ and ‘Let it Be’ in a hillbilly style!

• The disc also contains interludes and introductions from The Beatles themselves as well as characters such as George Martin, Brian Sewell and Sir Jimmy Saville!

• The Exotic Beatles series are recognised as the most well researched and thorough Beatle related cover albums and consequently are firm favourites with both the media and legions of fans.

4.0 out of 5 stars Letting it be, that's the thing., 7 Jan 2007
By Johnny Heering "trivia buff" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Exotic Beatles: Part Two (Audio CD)
This is the second collection of oddball cover versions of Beatles' songs. It features a lot of strange, but interesting, material. Here are some examples: A psychedelic version of "Nowhere Man" sung with a Japanese accent. "Yesterday" played on accordian and sung with a Cockney accent. "Yellow Submarine" sung in French by legendary French actor Maurice Chevalier. An a cappella version of "A Hard Day's Night" sung with a Japanese accent. A "Yesterday/Hey Jude" medley played on fairground organ. "Piggies" played on Casio keyboard. "I am the Walrus" sung by kids. "Day Tripper" sung by 1920s sex symbol Mae West. And much more weirdness. If you are a Beatles fan who enjoys weird cover versions of Beatles' songs, you need to get this CD.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Exotic Beatles, Pt. 2, 27 April 2007
By Wendy Cheung "wendy" - Published on Amazon.com

what they did to the beatles songs are interesting, but they put some talking in between every track explaining whats going on in the songs, i found that very annoying, it almost feel like i downloaded the tracks from the radio.
