Joe says:
I have found this book interesting but I cannot see any groups that are living as exiles. I still see the Church allied with society at large. It is not the subversive organisation that Jesus established. I find myself outside of the church at present and my current beliefs are at odds with mainstream evangelicalism.

I am a self imposed exile but I still want to follow Jesus in his mission. I think Michael Frost's book is one of the tools that can be used to sustain those who do find the church 'dull, boring and irrelevant.

Part way through this and it is right on the money. Anyone who finds this book helpful might like to try James Thwaites, especially Church Beyond the Congregation.
