This book kept me gripped, so much so I looked forward to getting the train to work, and then I was one of those annoying people who had to carry on reading whilst walking along the pavement! Such a page turner, I rarely have a lunch hour, but did so that day, carried on the train home, on the walk home and then finished it when i got in. Why? The characters had me hooked, i was outraged by what was happening to Anna, and somehow felt that by carrying on reading I was lending her my support. And I love New York, although I'd think twice now about going to live there with children!
