Fun:
After unpacking this item I thought it didn't work. Decided to check the button type battery, it was dead, not a good start!! Lucky I had some spare!! This is a fun toy that picks up quiet sounds. The ear phones don't stay in your ears.

Failed to work owing to corrosion of battery contacts. Once cleaned up and a new battery inserted it worked-kind of. Problem is it picks up as much background sound as the sounds you want to amplify. I guess this is a common problem with these things. It's no more than a cheap stocking filler. Underwhelmed, even with the inclusion of poor headphones, and a cost of under £4.
