Product Description

Product Description

Sedona is given the opportunity of a lifetime: play an up-and-coming executive with all the trappings of wealth with someone else footing the bill. The catch: find out who is stealing company funds before the criminals find out that their program is being debugged.

Sedona runs into danger, the corporate glass ceiling, and an occasional chance at romance in her quest to figure out who is stealing money from Strandfrost. Unfortunately, Sedona is better at writing computer code than deciphering political vitriol, and if she doesn’t find a way to wade through the red tape and red herrings, she could lose both her job and her quarry!

Maria Schneider has published stories in Coyote Wild Magazine, TownDrunkMag.com and "Over My Dead Body."

This is the first in the series, the others being: 2-Executive Retention,3- executive Sick Days.

An easy ,harmless, humourous, well told story-which took some putting down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sedona Kept Me Laughing 23 Nov 2010
Format:Kindle Edition
I LOVE Sedona O'Hala! She had me laughing out loud on nearly every page. She gets in over her head when she agrees to help expose some major executive fraud in her company. The action and comedy that follows is priceless. If you enjoy humorous mysteries with a really fun, quirky and endearing protagonist, check this one out now.

3.0 out of 5 stars A reasonable read 15 Dec 2010

When I first began to read this book, the first chapter grabbed me. I thought I had discovered a new Janet Evanovich (that series 1-16 are particular favourites of mine for just-before-bed light relief). Although there were similarities, the plot didn't really grab me all the way through and there wasn't enough humour to make up for it, nor enough sexual tension between Huntington (the Ranger look-alike) and Sedona. I hate to suggest it was a pastiche, I'm sure it wasn't intentional, the author has probably never even read Evanovich. But the plot just wasn't gripping enough nor laugh-aloud funny enough to keep my attention.
I shall read the next one in the series, just to see if it improves, and then decide whether I want to follow the author into the future.
