Very Nice 19 Mar 2003
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
Very nice laid back house set from Ian Pooley. Some heavy basslines throughout and a very good selection of tunes from the 90s. Another reviewer was disappointed by the version of Sueno Latino on this CD but although it isn't the classic original mix it is still good, and a lot better than the remix that came out a few years later. Maybe the DJ thought that we would be sick of hearing the original again. And Yes Track 17 is by the Mandy Smith (of Stock Aitken Waterman and a famous UK footballer fame )and is probably not as good as the rest of the tracks, although it is a pleasant enough listen. All in all this CD is a worthy purchase and great for kicking back to.

Phoenix Nights 11 Oct 2007
By Colin Mccartney TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Audio CD
Ian Pooley may look like Peter Kay on the cover but any compilation that includes "Tears", "Domina", "Limbo of Vanished Possibilities", "KMS 054" AND "Sueno Latino" must be a winner. Only misses out on that 5th star for failure to include "(I'm Gonna Be) 500 Miles"! BTW Peter how about doing a new video for "Tears" with Ken, Deirdre et al - a surefire Xmas no. 1.

Pure Emotion 12 Sep 2004
Format:Audio CD
A musical walk down memory lane! Ian Pooley's "Excursions" mix has some excellent tunes from back in the day, some obvious and some not so obvious and one in particular that only Ian himself knows why it's there. Overall I loved this mix, tunes like Janet Rushmore's "Joy" bring the memory's flooding back but the tune that does it for me is Ron Trent's and Chez Damier's "54" pure electronic music with soul ! If you like music with emotion buy this, they don't make 'em like they used to!!
