Being a big Seventh Letter fan, I was apprehensive about buying this book, thinking that I'd probably seen most of the pics already on the internet and in various magazines. I actually debated with myself for sometime before buying. Happily, I was wrong. There is a wealth of previously unpublished material in here and as the book goes on, it introduces us to more and more artists, some of whom I have to confess were new to me. That can only be a good thing.
All the regulars are there as you can imagine: REVOK, PURSUE, RIME, BATES, SEVER, TOTEM2, etc. plus a whole load more too numerous to mention. As a document charting an interesting period of development in the history of world graffiti, The Exchange really stands out.
On the Run have established themselves as a reliable publisher of quality graffiti books and this one is no exception. I bought their SMASH137 book awhile back
Smash 137: smash proof (On the Run) which I was seriously impressed with. I was equally impressed with The Exchange. Well designed, nicely printed and edited and, most importantly, stuffed full of graf, it ticks all the appropriate boxes.
Very glad I lashed out a few quid.
