Book Description

Book 6 in the Area 51 series

In his time at Area 51, Mike Turcotte has learned one thing: we are not alone. As part of an elite Special Forces team, the former Green Beret has encountered things that are well beyond human understanding. Now, two ancient rivals from another world are vying to dominate Earth, and Mike and his team must choose which army to side with. The key to averting the crisis lies in a single weapon: Excalibur. The mythical, legendary sword of King Arthur is real and can unlock a galactic power beyond what anyone—human or alien—has ever seen. And Mike must keep it from falling into the wrong hands.

The race to recover Excalibur will lead the players all across the globe—from the ancient pyramids to the Great Wall of China, from a fortress on Easter Island to the heights of Mount Everest—in a high-stakes game in which the fate of humanity is the ultimate prize.

3.0 out of 5 stars Becoming formulaic 26 Jun. 2013

I read a lot of Bob Mayers books but I'll probably not bother with any more as the just seems to be weaving more of other peoples ideas into his stories.

3.0 out of 5 stars An interesting read 7 April 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
An interesting read.
I was impressed with the first book of the series. I found it well written and impressive.
I then went mad and purched the whole series only to find that they became a bit samey and disappointing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gripping 22 Aug. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's fantastic how the author still manages to weave a work of fiction while using actual events in history along with meanings of religion and politics and simply filling in the blanks with aliens and watchers and the ones who wait. This one did drag a little but I'm still gripped and about to start the next in the series. Just try and stop me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Life is too short... 29 Nov. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Life's too short to read books like this. The Area 51 series is a ludicrous mess of myths, legends and half-baked pseudo science, all thrown into the mix together without any regard for logic. Makes Dan Brown look like a genius.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyed the read. - DWF 11 Oct. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Aliens responsible for eg Holocaust (I wish, having seen Auschwitz!) - so lots of far-fetched fantasy - but well written with plenty knowledge and obviously wide research. Thought the end was a bit sad and anti-climatic.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good book again, but I really want a resolution to the story now.
Another book in the Series 51 "library" where if you want to follow the story from the first book you have to buy this one to get to "the truth".
