This was bought as a back-up battery for my Canon Ixus 130 Camera to carry with me, on trips away from home, without the need to pack a battery charger. It has been very useful and has given me peace of mind knowing that I am not limited in what I can do with my camera.

Bought this a secondary battery to the Canon one supplied with camera. So far, I have not noticed any difference when I have had to swap over the batteries and the price of this, together with the 2 year warranty, have made this (to date) a very good purchase.

I bought this for my new Canon Ixus 220 camera. I charged it fully and then set about taking photo's. I took over 360 pictures with a majority using flash before the battery declared it had had enough! I was impressed by this as reviews of the camera only claim 220 pictures before the battery can be expected to need recharging.
I have read of OEM batteries being slightly larger so making a tight fit, not delivering as many pictures as original equipment and that have had very short life spans. On the first 2 counts this battery does not suffer from such complaints, it fits exactly and has delivered a good number of pictures with the cmera making extensive use of the flash. I cannot report on longevity of battery life but so far have no reason to think it would be anything less than normal.
The price is excellent compared to Canon branded goods such that if it lasts as long as 1/3 of the life of a Canon battery I will still be paying less. In fact I have never bought an OEM battery that hasn't proved to be the equal of manufacturers labelled batteries.
