This device managed to latch on to one of my boxes and seemed to operate it reasonably well. None of the other boxes were able to be controlled. As it is supposed to be universal the attraction was to use only one controller instead of four. This has not changed. A note was sent to the company reporting the problem and asking for a facility to return it. This request through Amazon has been ignored.

Ok if you just want to use remote for the TV. But will not set up with a Sony HDD DVD freview recorder.

At minimal cost this worked for a high end CD player from Kenwood where I have lost the remote. Replacements are just not available anywhere. This is a rare player, and the Ex-Pro works to change the chanel, stop, pause play and search, but not display off, or volume - on the other hand, the amp does this. I am very pleased.
