I wanted to buy a remote control for a Canon 5D Mk2. Having read the reviews I went for this model - quite a bit cheaper than the Canon version. I was reasonablly pleased with it. I agree with other comments, however, that not having an automatic or manual shut off is a bind. I haven't run out of a set of batteries yet, so can't say how long they last with it permanently on. That aside, a useful little gadget and I'm pleased with it.

Bought This switch and it turned up in rather quickly. Tried to use it and it was not working. The dial wouldn't work & I couldn't set any figures or times. I did try to return it but couldn't be bothered. Its not by Canon its not of good quality. I need to stop buying these cheaper bargins thinking they will do. I didn't want to spent around £100 for a fancy switch, so in future I won't be a scrooge. My plan B has been getting a Hahnel Giga T Pro II. All done with a wireless remote. Worth every penny at half the amount.
