Product Description
The Ex-Pro adapter will allow you to use a device with mini displayport (also MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air) with your HDTV's HDMI port, and it includes audio.Compatible with any mini displayport that outputs an audio/video signal, this adapter will take both and feed them to your TV through a single HDMI port. No additional audio cables will be required just connect any standard HDMI cable. If your video source only outputs video through the mini DisplayPort, then you will only receive video through your HDMI display. (NOTE :- Due to current Apple limitations, the audio will not work over HDMI on Apple computers.)

i bought this to plug my macbook into my monitor after reading great reviews (from my other account), but after 2 months, all of a sudden, i go to plug it in and it comes out all distorted, then remove and try again and no picture, have tried several times over the last 2 days to no avail. before that it was a good product with clear picture and otherwise good. would like it if it could be replaced otherwise will have to shop around for replacement as is needed, very annoying as i am at boarding school and now away for the next 3 weeks with out it!

I am quite fond of Apple products, but i'm not an idiot, if someone else offers the same thing for half the money, you go for it. Apple doesn't do an HDMI cable, but if they did, it'd be several times as expensive as this one, and do exactly nothing that this one doesn't, so a smattering of stars for that.
Also, Apple's customer care often leaves a little to be desired, but when my original ordered cable turned out to be a dud, i contacted the seller, who almost immediately replied with detailed instructions on how to proceed. Meaning i got my replacement within 2 days.
Shipping was very fast, it arrived about 4 days before the earliest estimate, only 2 days after the order was placed! so my replacement cable managed to arrive before the original should have?! Can't fault their logistics people.
Overall the product is great, i get some wierd 'no signal' static every now and again when it's first plugged in, but i think i've marked that down to the odd mix of monitor -> Laptop i've got going on.
The only reason it isn't 5 stars, is a little niggle that the cable it's self isn't very flexible at all, i'm hoping it's just because it's new. It's a tiny bit irritating due to the layout on my desk the cable sticks out into the middle. Grr.
AND more importantly, if something is wrong with your original, rest easy, this seller is great at speedy replacements :)
