2 hour fast charge...what's all that about. 2 hour fast charge of a pencil battery maybe....!
The description is very mis-leading. The charger still had its green light on after nearly 8 hours, and it had still only 3/4 charged the 'ex-pro' equiv. NP-FV100. Very dodgy connection to the battery. It does not feel very secure, and then when you fit the adapter for the lower capacity batteries, it makes an 'unsafe' electrical noise and the green light flashes red/green.
I know the sony charger is way more expensive, but the price for this is a rip-off at even 1p.
Definately NOT recommended.
You can charge it up on your camcorder (CX550) easily enough, but that's about the ONLY plus point, and the only reason I have given it a 1 star, is because you cant give an item on here (Amazon) 0 stars...! Pity.
Cant send back as I have binned the packaging...DOH!!!

very fast delivery, have just come back from holiday, it does recharge a npfv50 battery in 1 hour,
very good.{BUT} why is there always a BUT? got back to UK, plugged in battery charger and,smell of burning.then charging light goes out. ZAP DEAD NOTHING ZILCH CAPUTENZIE.could have been worse could have done it on holiday. IAN

I recently bought a sony camcorder and as I am going to a wedding abroad needed a way to charge my battery, the official sony chargers are hideously over priced and do not come with adapters for abroad.
This comes with adapters for the U.S, Europe and the U.K as well as an In-car charger.
It charges nice and fast and costs next to nothing compared to the official chargers.

Multiple charging options for Camcorder battery
Really easy to use charging units for my Sony Handycam battery. The wall socket and car charger all work well and are nice and small to pack away to take away when travelling.
