Excellent battery, fast delivery. Though the surface quality may not as good as Sony's, but who cares. This battery has a capacity of 1000mah(sony's original 910mah) and it is compatible with infoLITHIUM, which shows you the remain battery time (which the original doesn't). Fully charged, it shows 185 mins of runtime - 30mins more! Haven't see any problem so far, but with 2 years warranty and the low price - you have nothing to lose. Highly recommend.

I bought this battery as a backup for my sony hx9v camera. When i inserted battery in the slot provided, the camera gives error message "Battery not compatible" and switches off automatically. There is no where mentioned that there will be a compatible issue by Amazon or the seller, Not able to return this product since charges are not refunded and is more than the Battery price.

Excellent back-up battery for my Sony camera, and it shows the time remaining which the original Sony battery doesn't. No worries now about the camera running out of battery power when out for the day or on holiday. Also no operating problems with the camera when using this battery.

I bought this as a spare battery for my Sony DSC-HX9V and also a charger (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000SDWFXY/ref=oss_product)
I recieved them both yesterday and though the instructions stated it should be charged before first use the green light on the charger indicated it was already charged. I put it in the camera and it works fine. As others have said the camera displays the lenght time available before the battery needs to be re-charged. On mine it indicated 184 minutes which is slightly less than is stated in the spec for the original battery but Sony may be a bit optimistic anyway. Also as the replacement battery was as it came and may not yet be fully charged so may be longer when it has.
It's early days yet so I don't know how long it will last in actual use but the camera switches on, takes pictures and it's therefore compatible with it so I am pleased with my purchase.

We can add the DSC-HX5V to the list of cameras for which this is compatible. The info-Lithium works and tells me that the camera will run for 148 minutes on a full charge (with display on the high brightness setting). Also interesting, and surprising, is that turning the GPS on or off didn't affect the reported battery time.

Very disappointed with this product bought as back up to original Sony battery still working 100%. Charged up battery overnight using Sony charger. Placed in camera, battery sign lit up saying 138 mins. life, great, camera off. Took the camera out to use two days later, battery sign flashing, battery dead within one minute.
Thought it might need another full charge to bring it up fully, so did so. Inserted in camera, battery sign saying 138 mins. life, camera off. Checked camera two hours later (remember, not used) battery life down to 98 mins! Camera off, checked after 24 hours, battery light flashing, dead within one min. camera turns off automatically.
I know these batteries are cheap, but even half the life of the existing Sony battery should be expected.
Thinking about returning and asking for replacement to see if this was a 'Friday night shift special' , although accept ridiculously cheap compared to outrageous Sony battery prices. Should be no stars rating so far.

ordered this battery, was sent the wrong product. managed to return it via a very complicated on line process but was made to feel it was my fault they sent the wrong product. I agreed for them to send me the correct battery. they closed my return on their returns site before I received my product!! I now have no way of contacting them as there is no e-mail address or phone number or complaints process!! I still haven't received my battery.....

if you buy it, buy also the charger that goes with them
these battery is not charging with the original charger, so you have to buy a charger that goes with them. I never use it as i did not want another charger to carry with me.
