I needed a cable to connect my Sony DV camcorder to my DVD burner and wanted a cable to do the job. The cables on the Sony site seemed very expensive. I saw this cable on Amazon and thought that for less than 4 pounds including delivery I would try it. The cable arrived quickly and was perfect! This does the job no problem and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Fast delivery. If you want a firewire that works with your Sony Handycam and computer, this is the one to go for. All other make of 1394 firewire will not work!

This succeeds perfectly in fully connecting a Sony Handycam (iLink) to a PC - something an apparently identical cable I bought from Maplin failed to accomplish. And it's a lot cheaper than the branded units.

1. It wasn't 2m but only 1.5m,
2. It wasn't a Sony lead (Pluscom branded),
but it did the job and was a reasonable price with quick... Read more
