Mixed feelings 16 April 2011
By RIMS
As the previous reviewer mentions, identical but cheaper overall than http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003YT5XLU/ref=cm_cr_asin_lnk.

Neatly packaged, arrived speedily, fitted with ease.

PROS: excellent picture and sound, good configuration options, loaded channels easily in the correct order (ie 1=BBC1, etc, contrary to other reviews). Compact, good connection/PVR options. Cheap and apparently good quality. Lots of neat little features. For example the option for 9 little preview pics on the one screen - but the downside is that its so slow to load them you may as well just flick through the channels.

CONS: Increasingly irksome, it takes an age to load the channel info - ie the program title etc. You can't flick through the channels in that way. Nor does the channel info tell you any mor about the program. If you press info once you get the title - eventually. Press it again, and rather than information about the program, you get the channel number/signal strength etc. To get programme information you have to go into the EPG, navigate to the channel, then the current program, then press the yellow button, then press exit twice to get out. All a bit long winded.

Nor does it easily tell you the current time, or how far into the programme you are, all stuff you don't realise you need till you havn't got them!

I won't go into other details - its all covered well in other reviews. Except to say that many of the niggles could be solved with a firmware update..... except I can't find anywhere to download an update!

Fitted in 5 min. 23 April 2011
We bought this (as it was cheaper) and with more functions than the store products of a similar nature. We have an older TV without a digital signal which the kids used generally but this unit allows them to view many more channels than we had on the TV originally, comes with everything you need including the remote and worked the first time. I have bought from Ex-Pro before recently and this worked as well as my last purchase and at a saving, so very happy indeed, I would recommend for sure.

Small but Great 29 Jun 2011
By Neil
After searching through many of these digital freeviews and reading the current
write ups this one seemed to fit the bill, as room was a bit restricted. I was correct, for as soon as I installed it and switched on everything came on and worked as stated. As it was only for a second early model LCD I was not inclined to pay much, but it does the job of much more expensive versions.
Good value

Disappointing experience
Bought in good faith but did not work from the outset, thank goodness for Amazons system for remuneration.
