Over the past six months or so I've bought several pieces of electrical equipment that have heavy, 2-pin power plugs. As soon as you push one these in to a normal adapter, the weight of the plug pulls it out. In some cases I've had to resort to using insulating tape to fix the plug and adapter together.
I spotted this bit of kit on Amazon and thought "it's simple and cheap but does it work?" Answer, a resounding "Yes!" Unscrew the clamp screw, push your plug unto the slot, tighten the screw, push the whole thing into a 3-pin wall socket and switch on. It works. No radio cutting out with the slightest touch on the cable, no router disconnecting every time the cat brushes past. One of life's little frustrations gone forever.

A decently made adaptor. The Europlug fits into the hexagonal cutout, which not only accepts 2-pin European transformer plugs and holds them in place. I have three such transformer plugs and this is the only adaptor I've yet found which works well with them. The "standard" type of adaptor (round with a flat top, often with a raised rim) usually doesn't grip the plug pins properly so the transformer plug is unstable which means it keeps making and breaking contact. No such problems with this adaptor - a much more solid setup.
Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that the clamp screw (you tighten it until the plug is gripped in the adaptor) is an odd size and tricky to turn.

I have been using a router with a European plug in a shaver adapter for years. It was always slack and I should have bought one of these a long time ago. It is neat and sturdy and does the job well.
