Product Description

Product Description

James Connor discovers an alien spacecraft buried along with the remains of early human ancestors, which sets in motion a crisis of human beliefs. The conflict between religion and science -- a timeless debate -- fuels the story, as humans explore the greatest questions of time: who are we, where did we come from, and what is mankind's role in the universe? Connor's actions make him an unwittingly pawn in an Evolution involving our earliest ancestors, ancient aliens, and the future of us all.

About the Author

Jim Reilly is a new science fiction novelist. In 2009, he finished an MBA program during which his professors gave accolades to his writing prowess. Upon graduation, Jim was caught up in the economic recession, and was laid off from his corporate position. Jim's wife suggested that he should write the book he had long envisioned, and to the gratitude of sci-fi readers everywhere, he did. Jim is a married father of four, born and raised in Long Island, New York. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York -Empire State College and a Master of Business Administration from the New York Institute of Technology. From an early age, Jim always had a fascination with science, religion, and science fiction to a point that it became a passion of his. Now he enjoys putting that passion to paper. He has already penned his second sci-fi book and is working on his third.

2.0 out of 5 stars Gosh, I like you ,but... 24 May 2014

Mr Reilly, please keep plugging away. You have the heart for it. But this novel didn't do it for me. I knew from the outset where you were going (seriously, Mike, Gabe and Uri?). More importantly, if you're going to change the outcome of Armageddon, you need to have some form of repercussion. Also, Sir, we do not all speak in proper English at.all times. Seriously dude, when it's dialog, lighten up. Your conversations were robotic. Feel free to express yourself for goodness sake! Nobody talks the way you wrote. Well, maybe the Amish. So, relax. Have fun. And when you're in character, let the character speak.

5.0 out of 5 stars A nice story 14 Jun. 2014

I was pleasantly surprised by this alien/ time travel/ religious intrigue story. While it was slow going at first, the action picked up and piqued my interest. Mr. Reilly's vision of a possible future is a unique take on the science vs. religion debate that made me pause and think. To tell you the truth, I bought the book because I liked the cover. Even though its not my genre, I thought it was a good story.

I really like the mixing of biblical prophesies with well thought out science fiction
Not your run of the mill sci-fi. Great story telling, intriguing plot and flow. I really enjoyed this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Evolution by Jim Reilly 1 July 2014

I was impressed with this author, you don't usually find a fusion of sci fi and religion that dovetails so nicely. I myself am not religious but the religious aspects of this book added much to the story. I felt the story was handled much like the Stargate series with religion putting the story into context.
