I bought this product about 6 months ago mainly for cutting waste wood for my stove (old pallets, fence posts, building site offcuts etc)

Its brilliant.
Nails and screws in the wood? don't worry about it, it will slice through them without a thought.
Before I bought this, I used a chainsaw to chop all my wood and had to extract all the nails and staples by hand, very tiresome! But now I just cut through them with the fury without a second thought, it's also much safer than using a chainsaw so I have started lending it to my father to chop his firewood and he loves it too.

I have not tried any accuracy cutting yet (ie. Door facings etc) but I would say that based on how it cuts various pieces of firewood, it produces a fairly clean/smooth cut and I will have no concern using it when I come to replace my skirting's and door facings this year.

As mentioned it's not a sliding saw but for 69 quid, what do you expect. (if you read the description, it clearly states that so down-rating it because of your lack of attention seems harsh to me)
However you can set it to cut at a 45'angle from the vertical plane and 45' each way from the way the wood is sitting to make bevels in the wood so should be ok for box farming a doorway or corner pieces.
As an aside, it's also quite light and the carry handle is quite handy so it's easy to throw in the back of the car when I take it to my dad's house.

If you're a basic DIY man looking to chop general wood waste and/or tackle the odd bit of DIY, then this is a great buy for you. If you're looking for something a bit more advanced then you're beyond my competence level so I can't help you.

I bought this saw as I have a little workshop that i builld bit n bobs in for the grand kids and diy. I was very happy with this saw and blade. It cuts up to 5 inches no problem and down to 1/4 inch lipping with very little breakout. The blade is almost silent when cutting and not under any kind of load.I hope to have a good list of jobs to do with it.
A very happy JM

Pictures shows sliding mitre saw, description says that it is sliding saw but you will not get the sliding one. If you require a sliding version like I did to cut a bigger pieces then save yourself a hassle of sending this big box back to Amazon and hoping for next one to be the right one. I'm still waiting for my second to be dispatched but I have this feeling that I'm going to get the same non-sliding version of that saw.

I bought the saw for essentially cutting small branches, kindling etc etc for my wood burning stove. I have it clamped and mounted on my B & D workmate for doing this. The saw eats without difficulty whatever I put through it. Value for money its excellent and delivery from the company was quick. Overall an excellent buy.

When I say budget, it's not far south of £100. But it creates a nice straight smooth cut, I found the base hard to turn to get mitre cuts, and then I found that you need to turn a locking nut - this is mentioned in the instructions but instructions are for girls.
It will but metal pretty well but bear in mind that metal does not like being cut and protests by flinging sharp bits at your eyes, make sure that you use eye protection with this and take your time.
it's nice and light so a good saw for site work but don't be fooled by the laser in the picture, it hasn't got one on this model at the time of purchase.
