Why did it take so long for someone to revolutionise cutting with the simple addition of a brilliantly designed blade?
Looks good, feels good and by god it does you good.

Nice little saw. Cuts nice, just make sure when using a saw like this you adjust the blade to be just a little bit deeper than what you are cutting. I didn't do this at first and was getting issues with it going off course and pushing back along the cuts. So if you are having those issues, adjust your blade depth!

Not as nice as a festool plunge saw, but only a fraction of the price!

Perfect for a home DIYer.

I am a heating engineer and with lesser blades if you hit a nail in a floorboard it was a new blade with this those problems are gone. It cuts 18mm ply like butter. Very powerful and easy to change blades.

I bought this saw because I wanted a good general purpose saw that wasn't expensive. I'm not sure why the price has jumped by £30 on Amazon because the Evolution Rage is only £90. The saw itself is very easy to use and copes with anything you throw at it. Its not as loud as you expect it to be. It comes pretty much assembled and ready to use with only the rail guide not being attached. The usual safety guidelines are recommended (wear goggles etc). My first use was to dismantle my old metal BBQ that had been sitting rusting in the garden. It made quick work of it allowing me to bag it and take it to the local recycling centre. After this I had to cut up different pieces of wood I had left over, again all done with ease. The saw is heavy at 5.5KG but nothing really that unusual, it cuts straight and doesn't show any drift while you're trying to do a straight line. Definitely recommended.

Good for the money. Some of the adjustment knobs appear flimsy but ok so far. Dust extraction works well. Needed a finer blade for worktops.

This is my first circular saw, which I bought to cut several pieces of 70mm x 70mm wooden posts. After a few practice cuts, I had the blade set at 90 degrees, i.e. straight down. I fitted the guide and this made straight cuts easy, especially as I had to turn the posts as the blade only cuts 50mm. It cuts incredibly quickly and leaves a smooth surface and the noise is less than I expected. It requires no effort. I wish that I had bought one of these years ago!

I haven't used the saw on anything other than wood, but other reviews suggest that it is just as good on steel.

Brilliant little saw, well made and robust, the only fault I can find is the clamp for adjusting the depth is plastic and I think it will not last the everyday use around the workshop, we shall see!

I will give an update in a couple of months time.

Update: From 4 stars to 5 stars

This saw has a brilliant blade as standard, what I didn't expect or read from the description of the saw is that the blade has a 2mm kerf and produces a fine saw cut. I have just trimmed 2mm off the top of a pair of 48mm Iroko garage doors (they were binding) and a 3mm raked cut to the bottom (also binding), and the saw went through them like butter, very very impressed for a small saw, I have a Bosch saw which has not done an awful lot of work and packed up with a electrical fault and in my opinion is not in the same league as the Evolution. As for the plastic adjusting screw for the depth, it is more robust than I first thought and needed not worry to about, go ahead and buy this saw, you won't regret it.
