Format: Paperback
The book gives a very clear account of Evita's life and what made her such a powerful woman in her country. John Barnes also gives you some background of the history of Argintina, which helps with the understanding of why Evita had such a powerfull hold on the country. The book is easy to read and is also extesive in covering Evita's and her husbands life and reign together.

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful By Thomas Swade on 11 Mar 2009
Format: Paperback
This books describes the life of Eva Duarte and the effect that she had on Argentina very well. The only concern about this book is that it is now somewhat dated and doesn't seek to present the picture of Evita in modern-day Argentina.
