Apparently, the follow-up for last year's Evil Penguins is already out. This is another animal-themed cartoon book in the same genre as Bunny Suicides or the Far Side, and if you like those, I'd expect you'd like this as well. The author seems to prefer wide ranging subjects rather than just focusing narrowly on the stardard cat behaviours and jokes. So instead of getting a book full of the same jokes done a dozen ways each, you have them with their paws in everything, from the death of Cleopatra to the current financial crisis.
Notably, some of the drawings are devilishly clever in mixing comedy with something more - like cats waterboarding your stuffed toys while you're away, for example. I'm sure one or two of the more obscure references will be too remote for some, but I rather enjoy the depth that went into both this and Anie's prior work.
Highly recommended, for both cat owners and fans of the style in general.
