This is an easy to read, short mystery with interesting, realistic characters and a good plot. Especially interesting was the forensic science. The writing is succinct, with no rambling digressions in the plot. Happily for me, not a lot of sex and violence, just good writing.

Ms Blair has written several of these mysteries all of which hover either under or a little over 100 pages. They story line that runs through them is consecutive so I would advise starting with the first: Hard Press'd followed by Press'd Into Action, Press'd to the Wall, Press On, Pressing Engagement, Pressing The Message Home, Press `n SEAL, A Pressing Issue of Murder, Trace Evidence. So at #9 this one is waaay down on the list.
