This is an excellent book. I was unable to put this book down once I had picked it up. The story of Darlene Deibler is one that will encourage all and put you in your place when you complain about the small things in life. Her true story of life in Indonesia during the second world war is one that will influence your actions long after you have read the final page and also make you grateful for the position that you are in now.I highly recommend reading this book.

I loved this book. Diebler Rose endured terrifying experiences but most important, she witnessed God's never-ending presence and love. I only wish she had written additional books about her experiences after the war and her return to New Guinea to fulfill her calling as a missionary.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautifully written, inspirational book.. 26 Oct 1998
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
Evidence Not Seen is the true story of a young woman's missionary journey and imprisonment during World War II. It is written with great skill and descriptive imagery that exercises all the senses. It reveals God's power and love to those who read it in an "unreligious" and profound way--the way He really is.
It should be recommended reading for all Americans.

5.0 out of 5 stars A true account of Gods kereping of His people 10 May 2001
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This is a fabulous book asnd definatly worth reading. It shows how God keeps His people through the most difficult of times and how He answers prayer. Even Christians face hard times but they are never alone. I recommend this book to anyone but it may be especially useful to someone who is stuggling to remind them of Gods hand upon their life & in their circumstances and encourage them to continue to trust Him through it all.

Format:Paperback
I had always been pretty scared about issues such as war, torture, and prison camp. After reading Darlene's story, I know that God will be with me no matter what circumstances are! A "must" read for anyone and everyone!
