Format:Audio CD
This Ep (or is it an album, 32mins or close to, in length) features a more laid back, spacier Modest Mouse. Where "Lonesome Crowded West" is a desperate, sad and intense album the songs on "Everywhere and his nasty parlor tricks" are more laid back and disconnected from that desperation. "Willful suspension of disbelief" and "The Air" sound quite lazy and ortistic. "Night on the Sun" is probably my favourite song on here, having a brilliant guitar melody/solo about half way through. The version of "I came as a rat" is little different from that on "The Moon and Antarctica". I find "here it comes" actually quite uplifiting, especially for a Modest Mouse track.
All in all this CD is well worth having but dont expect the intensity of "Lonesome Crowded West", this CD is essentially a collection of Modest Mouse misfits put together. I like it, its more relaxing than most of their other releases. Well worth a look if your quite a big fan.
