This book is a realy good introduction to the "ins and outs" of being a PI there are some usefull web sites mentioned and some practical advice, the only down side is that it is all American and deals with what each state requirement is. Still a good read, well writen and informetive, my honest advice if your going to buy this book go for the chhepest option!

This is a well written book for anyone keen to do their own amateur sleuthing or to become a private detective or crime writer.

Written by a lady who has been there and done the job for real, this book is packed with lots of useful information and techniques, although written for the US market, much is still applicable to the UK.

A great read!

Close, but no Columbo 13 April 2011

Not a bad book. Worth a few pounds for the tips found inside it, but not very comprehensive. I'm not so sure that everything in here cant be found for free on the internet anyway, but for the money - the time it saved the person I bought it for was worthwhile. So overall, good but not awe inspiring.
