This album was the point when the Manics started to sell by the bucketload and finally reach the status they had envisaged for years before. It is therefore even more tragic that Richey, the one who most craved the fame and glamour wasn't there to live the dream.
Its great to see this album getting a grand re-release, with loads of live cuts, b-sides and demos. And a whole DVD of extras as well.
The Brits performance of A Design For Life is worth the entrance fee alone - when James, Nicky and Sean played their hearts out for their lost friend. A truly magical moment.
Lets just hope that next year we get a 15th anniversary Generation Terrorists set of equally high standard.
