This is an excellent book for learning Access 2007. It really does cover everything and is very well organised. After working through about 25% of the contents I would say it is one of the best technical books I've read.
I would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn Access 2007. However, it is advisable to gain some knowledge of relational database theory beforehand, because this book teaches application and assumes a basic understanding of what a relational database is.

Well I bought this book because I new nothing about Access and needed to set up and run a rather large database that was set up in MS Works. While it took me a little time to get it set up and input the data without this book it would have been impossible for me.
A good read a great refereance book that is never too far from my computer.
Buy it if you want to get the best out of Access 2007.

The book has obviously been given to a graphic designer to 'write up' and 'make nice'. It contains small technical inaccuracies that make it difficult to follow in some parts. Also the original publishing company's online resources are no longer available where the book says they are on the web.
The book needs an updated edition to remove the small 'faux pas' and showing the links to newer web resources. It just needs to be a bit more functionally accurate.
If this book is inexpensive enough - then buy it - it is not without use. However if this is the best book you can get - it would be worrying. Trouble is you can never tell if a book works for you until you buy it - which I did.
However I wasn't in the market to buy a book 5 times as much in price - maybe I should have or will...
