Have to agree with sawney below...certainly not his best, in fact its not very good at all.It really pains me to say it....i love Broke Down, Wishbones and Unsung, and this is such a disappointment not one decent track....put it right next time Slaid!

This isn't Slaid Cleaves greatest moment there are a couple of decent songs on it, but for the most part it's a dreary dirge that will bore you senseless. It's hard to believe its the same guy who did broke down.

I already have couple of Slaid Cleaves albums but always felt that they were a bit inconsistent, so when this new album came out I did swither about purchasing it, I need not have worried this is by far the best and most consistent offering from the man. I feel he has finaly decided to be more Americana than Country which I must say suits him better.
Stand out tracks are Ray Bonnevilles "Run Jollie Run" and his own composition, "Black T Shirt".
The Album is excellently produced by Gurf Morlix and clearly is his best to date well worth at least a listen, especially if you are fan of Gurf himself or the excellent Jeffrey Foucault
