2.0 out of 5 stars too similar to another book for my liking 9 Nov 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Complete rip off of Diana Gabaldon, waste of money. Dianas books are far superior, more character building, immense detail and historical research. OK for a beach read without much effort required. Get your own story Ms Davis and be more original.

Probably wouldnt be so harsh if I had read it before Diana wrote Crosstitch/Outlander, but that isn't possible because Diana wrote hers first, years ago!

Sorry, but if you are enjoying the Diana Gabaldon Outlander series don't bother with this. It is a brief outline of a story, lacking the visualisation and descriptive qualities that could make it so much more enjoyable.

I couldn't put this book down - it keeps you interested and is well written. From page 1 I was gripped by the links between Katherine and Iain. Enjoy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good read, but...
... I wasn't sure about the end chapters. Bit of a let down from about 3/4 in, I thought. Shame, cos it was going well up to then.
