Product Description

"Everything Is Illuminated, " Jonathan Safran Foer's stunning debut, tells the story of a young Jewish American's quixotic journey into an unexpected past. Foer then turned his talent to the traumas of our recent history in his exhilarating second novel, "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close." This beautiful edition brings together, for the first time, two works from one of this generation's most original writers.

Touching and very compelling 23 Jan. 2012
By boncestbon - Published on Amazon.com

I read this book out of order, having watched the film version of Everything is Illuminated a few years earlier. These two stories are warm, touching, sad, and often hysterically funny. One of my all-time favorites.

Defective Product 2 Nov. 2012
By Pei Yu Cheng - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
I saw others' reviews, so I checked it when I opened it.
It's defective product. The page number was not in order. Some of the pages are missing and reprinted over 2 times.

Bad print/Great book 25 May 2012
By dr23 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
The cover is great but there are several pages that are blacked out and where the print is distorted. The biggest problem is it was on the first three pages of "Extremely Loud" so we went to the library to read the first few pages so we would know what was going on. The book itself is great!

Upside down? 5 Jun. 2012
By Braeden - Published on Amazon.com

I loved reading Extremely Loud for Foer's exquisite portrait of a young boy suffering from the loss of his father and trying to process his death through the lens of his Asperger's disease. Beautiful...
