Anyone who recognises sensitive words of wisdom, written elegantly and compassionately will find this book wonderfully stimulating and satisfying and often funny. Lesley Garner encompasses all the many meanings of "Love" in this wise and illuminating book. Anyone looking to understand the complexities of human relationships will gain from reading it, learning from the humour, wit, experience and sheer commonsense of the writer. It is not too much to say that she has written a tract for the times. I learned much from reading this book, not least that we all have a common interest in understanding how the many manifestations of "Love" affect, inform, and help sustain our society. Read it and be inspired anew to look again at relationships and feelings in a new light.

This is a gem of a book, I own a copy as well as 2 others she has written and have given at least 3 out to friends as gifts. It's easy to dip in and out of and to read specifics when you or a friend are in the relevant situation.
Lesley Garner has been through the mill of life with the rest of us, the lessons learned and wisdom gained have been beautifully captured on paper. Virtually every chapter spoke to me in some way. Her messages are profound yet gentle and heartfelt. She has a deep understand of the human condition. It's a keeper!

Everything I've Ever Learned About Life was better than this book on Love. It has some touching stories but doesn't inspire.
