With a nice, concise introduction by the latest "there is no Me" pundit to hit the guru scene, the stubbled and streetwise youngster Jeff "Fozzie" Foster, here is a wonderful collection of first hand experiences by "normal" people who realised they weren't really the body-mind dream and instead are primarily and eternally everything that Is, in its pure, naked essence. Showing that you don't need gurus (er, sorry Fozzie, how ironic is that?) or any of Tolle's retreats, the seven "former individuals" rouse great hope for every seeker and ex-seeker out there that, yes, the Me can stop and drop leaving Pure Consciousness to be wowed at in all its undiluted, non-judgemental glory. The trick, paradoxically, is that your mind has to stop inquiring after it. Hey, don't even buy this book! Picket every Chopra love-in out there! Tell sweet little Tony Parsons to stay home! Otherwise, all that ingestion of mind-stuff is like fattening up a pig to fit it inside a dress two sizes too small for it. But of course the Mind has to exhaust itself, and maybe yours hasn't yet, so you'll buy this book and you could do a lot worse.
