About the Author
His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa, the spiritual head of the Drukpa school of Buddhism, has taught to millions of students worldwide. His Holiness is an active humanitarian, and he has worked alongside celebrities such as Richard Gere, Michelle Yeoh and Joanna Lumley on international aid projects. He has been recognized by the 2010 United Nations Millennium Development Committee for his work in women's education.

It gives me huge pleasure to write a review for this title here as it is such a beautifully written book and frankly deserves as much success as possible so that as many people as possible around the world will learn the pearls of wisdom and unique insights. The overall message is one of KIS - keep it simple. Keep life simple that is. His Holiness is very contemporary in his outlook. Don't we all want a greater sense of inner freedom, clarity and happiness? I know I do. I also loved discovering so many beautiful quotes that I had never read or heard of before which appear throughout the book and this one in particular means a lot to me right now: "You must know for which harbour you are headed if you are to catch the right wind to take you there." (Lucius Annaeus Seneca).

While I am generally skeptical of spiritual books, this book is perfect for anyone who is (i) looking to make small changes in his/her life, (ii) big changes in his/her life or (iii) anyone who is managing stress, anger or loss. It's an easy read with gentle and profound advice. This book is even great for someone without a spiritual background.

A simple handbook for anyone who just needs a small bit of guidance on how to slow things down in this fast-paced century. Usually working at breakneck speed, I find it hard to take proper 'time out' and this book is great for helping to refocus with helpful advice and practical examples. From noticing the little things in life, stopping to notice and reflect on the animals and environment around me or reminding myself how to be just that little bit more patient, this is a thoroughly modern mantra for how life should be.
