R.E.M. was an American rock band formed in Athens, Georgia, USA, in 1980 by Michael Stipe (lead vocals), Peter Buck (guitar), Mike Mills (bass guitar and backing vocals), and Bill Berry (drums and percussion). This is the ultimate in pick-me-up music. No matter how bad i'm feeling, i can always rely on this track to lift my spirits. It is the perfect single to listen to when you are feeling low, chilling out or just feel like something a bit different from the run-of-the-mill boy bands. Whatever your taste in music, it is difficult not to like this meaningful track from R.E.M

Well "Everybody Hurts" is a great song, but you know the 2nd song on here "Dark Globe" was written by Syd Barret, the origional lead singer for Pink Floyd. Michael Stipes wanted to sing one of his songs. He has was influenced by him. This CD is worth buying..
