This is one the "easiest" yet most profound books I have read in ages! I read a lot (as you might imagine), in the areas of health, nutritional science, food and cuisine, dietary traditions, as well as personal growth and spiritual development. I believe "HEALTH" when used in the modern "everyday" sense, encompasses 3 major areas - physical, emotional and spiritual health.
Physical health most certainly depends on sound emotional health. How much we love, care and respect ourselves is directly (and proportionally) related to how we treat ourselves - i.e. what we feed ourselves, how much R&R we take, and how much we move our physical bodies. Learning to be and act in the most gracious ways we can, understanding basic Universal truths, and knowing our true purpose or paths in life, is AS important a part of being healthy and happy, as the rest is!
As a Nutritionist working with many people on a close, individual basis... teaching them how to eat (and live) healthily, positively and "easily"... I often spend equal amounts of time guiding and helping people recognise the importance of their "inner" health - how they regard themselves, how happy they are with themselves and their lives.
Why do I do this?
Because change has to begin from the inside. This very often means building self-esteem, self-worth and self-belief and helping them, if I can, find true meaning and purpose in their life. Well for all those people who need THIS kind of support - then this book is for YOU!
