Little is known about Saliva right now what with Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit and what not filling a whole until some real bands brake through. But quite recently and quickly Saliva have just walked into the limelight over here. It was Kurt Cobain who realised every ten years a load of quality rock bands tend to show up out of no where. In 1991 we had Nirvana, Metallica ( sort of ), Rage against the machine and the beginnings of Green Day, well its 2001 and we've got a horde of class bands yet to come to our shores, Staind, Creed, Turin Brakes, and now Saliva. I first heard them In March when I visited Florida and looked around in an independant music shop. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere, came these fantastic riffs, and soothing, tingling chorus's from the speakers on the walls. After about 5 songs I asked the bloke behind the counter what this CD was and he swiftly told me it was a new CD from an unknown band called Saliva. So I went on a hunch and bought it for an obscene low ammount of money. To this day Every six seconds remains one of my favorite CD's and boasts creativity from the heart as well as boasting metal riffs from a mosh. Starting with superstar, one of the more louder songs it bursts with musical energy, moving onto Musta been wrong which is basically Korn's 'Blind' but with a better chorus. then the favorite 'Click click Boom' with its fantasic riff and ending. This is a near as dammit perfect CD. Rough, heavy riff laden angst songs, moving onto a quietier mellow aproach and then ending with My Goodbyes, an 8 minute epic which every album should have. And just for the worried parent, a rock album with NO swearing.
