5.0 out of 5 stars FOUR GAMES FOUR WINS FOUR EVERTON! 26 Aug 2008

Four classic Everton Finals and more importantly four victories. What could be better? The first is the 1966 Cup Final come-back against Sheffield Wednesday, complete with happy toffee invading the pitch and leading the coppers on a merry dance, before being (blatantly) brought down. Next up, the 1984 victory over Watford, which signalled Everton`s return to trophy winning ways under Howard. Leading on nicely from that we have the following season`s European Cup-Winner`s Cup Final win over Rapid Vienna, a matter of days before Heysel scuppered the dreams of all Everton fans to win the big one. Let`s not go there, shall we? The fourth game is Joe Royle`s triumphant `dogs of war` Cup Final victory over Man. United. The 1995 Final was a fantastic achievement, Everton had been battling (successfully!) against relegation practically all season and having stuffed cocky Spurs in the Semi, they beat the red devils one-nil.
The coverage is very good, my only quibble would be the commentary on the 1995 match is not the BBC/ITV original that we get on the others, (Brian Moore`s original commentary is on the 1984 and 1985 games thankfully) but the picture quality and sense of occasion more than make up for that.
